Brad’s Message at the Salem Riverfest, 2007 about who is Jesus to you. It’s a clear presentation of who Jesus is and how to have the relationship with Him you were made to have. It will challenge you to consider whether you are a world-changer or living outside of who you were created to be by your Maker. It’s a great message to use in introducing yourself and/or your friends to Jesus. Brad finishes this message by extending God’s invitation to all who want a real relationship with Him. This message could just change your life…if you allow God to speak to you through it. Enjoy!
If you’d like to have us look over your testimony and give you some feedback…write us at: mystory@passion4people.org.
Not only did Bob Mortimer share his story, but three students shared theirs, Miranda, Lidia, and Steve. A common theme you might have picked up on was how their involvement with other believers at church, at the Hilhi Breakfast Club and Youth Alive Club really made the difference.
Following Christ is not a solo sport. We’re better together. Many made decisions at “The Door” to follow Jesus. Now that it’s over, we all need help putting that desire into action. “The Door Afterparty Guide” is a great tool to help you discover what it means to follow Jesus and gives you some tools to do it together with other believers. You can download a FREE copy here by clicking on the image of it above. If you want to talk with a youth worker or one of the students who put this on with questions that come up as you explore living for Jesus, that would be great! Just email your questions to info@passion4people.org and we’ll pass them on to them. If you need info on youth group times, directions, etc, we’ll get them to you as soon as possible. The Hilhi Breakfast Club meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:00-8:45am at a house near the school. Ask any of the students who put on “The Door” and they’ll help you get there. Same with Youth Alive Club…Thursdays after school.
Congrats to all of you who chose to follow Christ! It’s the greatest decision you’ll ever make!
Nothing better than Jesus,
Brad Butcher- President of P4PI

Pramod was the luggage guy, hotel front counter assistant. Someone you’d meet at any hotel, anywhere. We’ve chosen to stay at the same hotel each time our team has been in Hyderabad…not just because the service is good, but because we are convinced that sharing Jesus’ love means investing in relationships with people so they can see the difference Jesus makes is who you are, not the product you are selling. Pramod remembered us from the previous trip. Through friendships with various team members throughout the week and a lot of conversations in the lobby, elevator and rooms, Pramod was introduced to Jesus and when invited, came Cityfest. In fact, he had such a great time he found a way to come two out of three nights. By the end of the week he had given his life to Jesus Christ. He was given a leather-bond bible by someone on the team. He came to the Next Steps Meet a week after the festival and emailed me saying, “I attended the October 16th program and I am so happy I started a new life with Jesus. Thank you for suggesting all this to me for the first time!”
What continues to amaze me is how the Lord loves every single person
we meet! Pramod was already searching. We were sent to simply point the way!
We really didn’t do a lot other than take the time to get to know him, his story, and share
with him our story. Then at the festival, he heard God’s story and God’s desire to save and
restore Him as a Child of God through Jesus. The Holy Spirit did all the work.
This wasn’t the story with all those we met. In fact, most of the hotel staff we didn’t notice much of an impact with. It gets a little discouraging when you don’t see any progress. But we cling to Galatians 6:9, “Do not give up in doing good, for in due time you’ll reap a harvest if you don’t give up.”
So what are you waiting for? Don’t wait for the fruit, simply keep lovin, keep “making your rounds with the ordinary opportunities you get and trust God for the results…in His time. He’s promised they will come! Maybe you’ll be the sower while someone else reaps. I feel that’s the case with most of the other hotel employees. But Pramod was our chance to get in on the harvest! Your time will come too! Count on it!

Pray for India with us:
25 million orphans: pray for local adoption, education and salvation to turn these children into mature believers who can change the cycle.
480 million living on less than $1.25/day: pray for the end of corruption through the salvation of those who profit off other’s poverty… this is why we are trying to reach the urban forward classes of India.
300 million living as untouchables/severely oppressed: pray they will both hear and see the unconditional love of Christ for them through His people. This is why we are taking urban believers into the villages to cross the caste boundaries and love the oppressed.

S.M. Lockridge could really preach it! I’m such a white boy! When I lived in New York I had the privilege of listening to guys like this a lot. Unfortunately out here in the westside of P-town there’s not many brothers preach’n like this.
What’s cool about this video is that it got me thinking about Jesus in a new way. Well, kind of an old-new way. I can remember the first few months of being born-again. It was like Jesus was walking right beside me. I was so aware of His presence. I was so unimpressed with myself and hung on every word I read in His love letter…the book of books. But now…many miles down the road, 2 1/2 kids, wife, non-profit, busy life…how often do I just sit and think about Him? How often do I just admire how incredible He is. He is! He is alive and working. He is alive and loving me. He is creating the future…if I will follow. He is tapping on my shoulder reminding me that He is still here! That He still knows everything, is everywhere, has much more in store for me than I can even imagine (Eph 3:20-21). He is! He is…. what comes to mind? Can you go off on Him like this video out of personal experience? Or do we just know what you’ve heard about Him from others? If I have forgotten and become silent of both words and joy from Him, who in my world is that much further removed from the author of life? Let’s remember, let’s discover, let’s give in to Him and see where a renewed surrender to His presence takes us!
When He is recognized as being with us, being present, being our everything in the moment…windows up upwards to God, outwards to others and downward to those who are most in need around us….because we become aware of what He sees and knows that are impossible for us to know. We become an extension of Him. And that’s when we start living life one hundredfold!
More stories will continue to flood in. But for now all we can say is “thank you Lord!” Keith Cook reports that there was an unusual unity among the churches involved. The Students were very attentive and eager to respond. God had prepared hearts and brought a good percentage of unchurched or nominal believers to the event! Everything came together well and was honoring to Jesus Christ. Rick and the Xtreme team were able to perform in a number of schools. A good share of the unchurched came from these schools. Please continue to pray that those who surrendered to Jesus Christ will follow-through to maturity!

As they faced a culture that rejects Jesus, Dr. Sameh challenged his church to become a serious praying church. Over time 800-1000 believers began meeting for prayer on Monday nights. Soon a 24-hour, 7-days a week prayer force emerged. God lead them not only to pray for boldness to share the love and message of Jesus with Muslims, but to also pray that Jesus would reveal Himself to those who would not allow them to bring Him to them. Many Muslims began to have visions of Jesus at night. This lead to them seeking out Christ-followers to learn more. Hundreds of Muslims began surrendering their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior. As they found Christ, they found He was not only a God who reveals Himself in visions, but who answers prayer and brings healing and forgiveness. As these believers dedicated themselves to prayer, God opened their eyes to the needs around them. Drug abuse, pornography, child and spouse abuse, street kids, etc. Through prayer and obedience they began moving out to meet needs and experience the power of Christ to change lives. In a few years 15 centers were in operation to help drug addicts get clean and replace their addiction to substances with an addiction to Christ. Teams minister regularly to orphans and slum dwellers. Marriage conferences and counseling bring healing and restoration to broken people and families. It all started with prayer. What are we waiting for? To join P4PI’s prayer team, email our prayer coordinator, Peter Carlson at: prayer@passion4people.org
THE JOY OF ASKING
Jesus said, “At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” (NLT) John 16:23-24
